In addition, he has worked as a neuropsychologist with children with Learning Disabilities, helping to rehabilitate or compensate their cognitive processes in French and Spanish.
He later worked as a psychologist in the Palliative Care Unit of the San Camilo Health Humanization center, clinically addressing the difficulties of both the patient and the family. He also assisted people in the grief process after death of a loved one using a humanistic perspective.

His experience as a student in a foreign country allows him to better understand the challenges that are faced in that situation: loneliness, adaptation to another culture, integration in an unfamiliar education system ...
Currently, Álvaro continues to work with adult patients in the context of private practice. He combines this work with the clinical- educational intervention with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders in the classroom and at home.
